PUBG (earlier known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and now known as PUBG: Battlegrounds) is one of the first big multiplayer Battle Royale games. At one point, PUBG was so popular that it held a record as the most played game on all platforms combined. Despite the setbacks, the shooter managed to retain a large audience.
When was PUBG released?
When Did PUBG Come Out? – Answered: PUBG was originally released in March 2017 as an early access title on Steam. The game was an instant hit with gamers and streamers alike. The full version was released on Steam on December 20, 2017. It has been free to play ever since, with a "freemium" game model added in January 2022.
Xbox One players could access it via Xbox Game Preview in late 2017, but it didn't fully launch on September 4, 2018 until months later. It was later added to PlayStation 4 on December 7, 2018, following high fan demand. Xbox Series X Editions Launch | S on November 10, 2020, followed by the PlayStation 5 launch on November 12, 2020.
The Android and iOS versions of PUBG were released on March 19, 2018. Stadia finally got it on April 28, 2020.
